In my work I use portraiture as a premise for the study of memory and collective consciousness. I see history as a stream of unconscious thoughts that are not embedded in the system of time as we know it. I work with the portrait as a symbol and develop it on an abstract level where I search for their essence. The vases have lost their original function and become a mere symbol.
