Mustarinda tower, Paljakka forest, FI

Wind vane for a mustarinda is functional wooden sculpture for a showing wind direction for a tower visitors. It is an object serving a clear purpose. At this level, I draw on the Arts and Crafts Movement and its ornamental and illustrative touch in the creation of ordinary objects, and thus reflect on the meaning of the division between applied art and fine art. I also remain very inspired by the art project Aerocene, which is putting air into the circulation of all things. It thus offers an alternative to the anthropocene perception of the world and its division into superior and inferior.
